Jahseh Onfroy was born January 23, 1998 in Plantation, Florida. Jahseh was also known as artist named XXXTENTACION (also known as X, XXX, Triple X). He was considered a hero. He spoke realism about mental health.

Jah made music on topics of depression, anxiety and suicide, just to name a few. Not only did he connect people through his music, he touched their hearts. Jahseh was all about positivity and guidance. He was seen as a mentor/counselor to many kids and teenagers. Just like everyone else, Jahseh also had his ups and downs in his career and life.

December 31, 2015, X released his soon-to-be big hit, “Look at me!” through a public website named SoundCloud. The song eventually got a digital download as numbers continued to grow

April 24, 2016, X was interviewed by a hip-hop podcaster known as No Jumper, where they discussed his troubled past and time in a juvenile detention.

X was eventually arrested on August 9 and was sent to Broward Regional Detention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for 2015 robbery and assault charges. He was eventually released on house arrest on September 16. Soon after, he allegedly assault his ex-girlfriend (Geneva Ayala) after she confessed to sleeping with another man.

Due to the fact that one is guilty till proven innocent, Jahseh was arrested on October 8 with charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness tampering. He pled not guilty, but was held detained by Broward County for violating his house arrest agreement. During this time he acquired a huge amount of fans and the cult-like fanbase began the hashtag “#FreeX”. Jahseh as an artist was being heard around the world. His quote on quote “Hype”(popularity) was growing and growing.

February 14, 2017, “look at me!” entered the billboard 100 at no. 95. Soon thereafter X was released from jail on probation. He pled no contest to home-invasion, robbery and battery charges. Following his release, he signed a distribution deal with Empire and released an eight-song mixtape, of songs that were previously released on Soundcloud.

On June 13, XXXTENACION wins the “10th Spot” (the only spot that is fan voted).

“His fans blew up our voting page, pushing him to the top slot by the thousands,” said XXL magazine. X was skyrocketing in popularity and his hot single “look at me!” was certified platinum on August 14. X released this debut album “17” on August 25 and instantly got the number 2 spot on the billboard 200 albums chart. He was arrested once again on December 11 as he awaited trial. That same day he released “A GHETTO CHRISTMAS CHAROL!” extended playlist. He was arrested ahead of his abuse trial. X faced seven more charges including different degrees of witness tampering and witness harassment. If convicted he would’ve faced decades in prison. Just nine days later, X would be released from jail and serve house arrest.

2018 comes around and he released his 2nd album “?”. It debuted No. 1 on the Billboard album chart, selling the equivalent of 131,000 copies in its first week. X was set to “change the world,” he claimed. He was released from house arrest on March 21 so he can go on tour.

On June 18, XXXTENTACION was murdered as he was leaving a motorcycle dealership in Broward Country, Florida. His death broke the internet. People were heartbroken as they rioted and held memorials around the world.
